BRASS KNUCKLES TEXAS SPECIAL features the absolute BEST rare ligero tobaccos that we've ever found! (This stuff is literally prized beyond any other tobacco in the world.)
BRASS KNUCKLES TEXAS SPECIAL is a full-bodied, full-strength 5x54 short toro with a broom foot. The wrapper is a 9-year-aged Broadleaf maduro leaf. Fillers are medio tiempo, visos, and ligeros from Nicaragua and 2 other places that will remain secret. All tobacco is aged between 6-11 years.
First light is an explosion of flavor! Dark chocolate, brown sugar, red pepper, red oak, dark leather, and almond rush over the palate. (The complexity is almost overwhelming) Cuban coffee (espresso with tons of sugar) immediately follow. The retrohale is strong adding a cayenne pepper burn.
As it progresses and the wrapper begins to burn, creamy and earthy notes are added. Hints of vanilla bean and cinnamon stick appear with a touch of black peppercorn.
Halfway, the blend rounds out and grows smoother. Waves of milk chocolate and dark caramel emerge. On the finish, sweet spices (don't even know how to describe this flavor), toffee, and cedar linger on the tongue. The balance and complexity are perfection. Amazing!
Last third everything elevates in intensity! Huge blasts of cocoa, rum barrel, licorice, and hickory wood are added to the mix. Chocolate frosting, coffee beans, and toasted nuts. The cigar stays perfectly cool and the burn is a razor's edge all the way to the nub!
