Since that original 2015 production run, we’ve been re-imagining and re-working the ALL MY EX’S blend. We wanted to make it something MONUMENTAL! The kind of cigar you save for the birth of a baby…or your wedding. A cigar that is even beyond a “top-shelf”—it is something you lock away and save for the biggest moments of life!
We totally struck the mother load! Through our secret tobaccos connections we finally got ahold of the strongest and most delicious Medio Tiempo ligero tobacco we’ve ever come across in all our years in cigar making! (Only took 9 months of negotiation.)
This stuff is so rich and complex—that is could be a cigar with just that one leaf!
But I do have to caution you—this cigar is an OVERLOAD of richness, strength, and flavor! Only sophisticated cigar smokers should take this one on—the amateurs need to sit this one out.
It’s very INTENSE and very DELICIOUS!
In fact, the members of our “super-secret” tasting panel have all told us that ALL MY EX’S—DARK NECESSITIES is one of the richest—and strongest—cigars they have ever smoked! (One of them actually cried when he retorhaled it. I saw it with my own eyes!)
ALL MY EX’S—DARK NECESSITIES is a full-bodied, full-strength 7x40 lancero. The wrapper is an oily double-fermented Oscuro leaf. Binder and filler tobaccos will remain a closely guarded secret...but all tobaccos are 6-12 years aged!
First light is an explosion of intense flavors! Dark chocolate, espresso beans, brown sugar, cinnamon stick, and black pepper rush across the palate. Candied almonds, heavy cream, and caramel. The finish is long adding molasses and leather. The retrohale adds a red pepper burn.
(I'm actually getting "sensory overload" from this cigar. Totally magnificent...just from the first 5 minutes!)
As it progresses, black cocoa, coffee beans, and white pepper appear. A wave of vanilla bean immediately follows giving a lingering creamy sweetness.
Halfway, the flavors get richer and deeper! The chocolatey notes grow with added hints of bourbon oak barrel, and butter. Raw cane sugar sweetness and earth appear. Big blasts of buttercream wash over the palate. Absolutely delicious!
Last third is gets even more intense! Toffee, black tea, toasted marshmallows, and chocolate chips are added. Roasted coffee beans, hickory, and all-spice. The burn is cool and the complexity continues to increase all the way to the nub of the nub! This is--without a doubt--one of the most delectable and delicious cigars I've ever tasted!
